Dominion Auto Auction
A public auto auction on Lee Highway in Bristol, Virginia, just off Exit 10 on Interstate 81. We hold our sale every Tuesday night, and everyone is welcome to bid or bring a vehicle to sell.
Open to the public
Anyone can bid. Anyone can sell.
You don't need a dealer license to take part. Come to the sale, place your bids, or bring your own vehicle to sell, the same way the dealers do.
Every Tuesday the lineup runs from luxury cars to pickups, minivans and motorcycles. Come early to look the vehicles over and grab something to eat from our cafeteria before the bidding starts.
Buying and selling
A simple process
Whether you're buying your next vehicle or selling one, the process takes a few minutes. Here's how it works on sale night.
Buying
- Bid on the vehicles you want as they cross the block.
- Win the vehicle. Once bidding ends and the seller accepts the price, come up to the podium and collect your ticket.
- Pay at the office. Take your ticket to our office to arrange payment, and the vehicle is yours.
Selling
- Preregister by phone anytime, if you like. Have your name and phone number ready, along with the vehicle's year, make and model.
- Or register on sale day at our registration building. Preregistering isn't required, and we accept registrations until 5:00 PM.
- Arrive early so bidders can inspect your vehicle before the auction starts at 6:00 PM.
$5.00To register a vehicle
If your vehicle doesn't sell, the registration fee is all you pay. Vehicles that sell have additional fees, so call the office at (276) 669-6816 for details.

Fleet and equipment sales
Dominion Auto Auction is available for all kinds of special auctions, including fleet vehicles and equipment. Call the office to plan yours.
